As GIS’ President, Rick focuses on working with our partner companies and GIS’ executives in developing effective strategic initiatives. These include strategic mergers and organic growth plans taking advantage of our capital market relationships and the synergies between our companies. To meet our clients’ growing needs for integrated services, Rick also provides the leadership to enable GIS to provide services from planning-design through PM/CM services and including project finance opportunities.
Prior to joining GIS, Rick was President and CEO of Lowe Real Estate, a private real estate company with current development projects of more than $2B and over $4B of assets under management, where he was responsible for Lowe’s development and construction management activity, and the company’s investment in and operations of commercial office, industrial, multi-family, mixed-use and institutional projects throughout the country.
He is a director of Lowe Enterprises as well as the STO Building Group. He also serves numerous professional and charitable boards including the Simms Mann Center for Integrative Oncology at the University of California Los Angeles, Urban Land Institute Los Angeles District Council, Park Century School, West Los Angeles County Council of Boy Scouts of America, and Young Presidents’ Organization-Gold Angeleno Chapter.
Rick completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, and graduated with Masters of Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
