Jeff as GIS’ CFO is the primary contact for GIS’ extensive relationships in the capital markets. Working with the CFOs of our partner companies and GIS’ President. He partnered with our Chairman in the founding of GIS and was instrumental in developing its concept for GIS’ initial merger with STO. Jeff continues to broaden our long-term relationships with capital providers to ensure GIS and its companies have favorable access to capital while maintaining conservative leverage. Jeff is also a natural leader in change management with a gift for guiding enterprises to reach their full potential. 

Having served in the infrastructure and energy sectors for more than 20 years, he has represented leading companies in North America, Europe and Asia. As president and CEO of HawaiiGAS, he increased EBITDA by 300% in five years while pioneering the use of new energy sources for Hawaii. Prior to HawaiiGAS, he focused on environmental engineering, renewable energy and environmental remediation where he served in senior leadership positions shaping corporate strategy, developing new technologies and preparing private and public enterprises to participate successfully in the 21st Century global economy. He was president and CEO of Safe Renewables, a marketer and producer of Biodiesel as a substitute for petroleum diesel for power generation; vice chairman, EVP, and chief strategy officer for Primoris, serving the energy and utility industry; CFO for Earth Tech, a global engineering and construction company; and vice president of planning and budgeting for URS Corporation, as well as president and CFO for several URS divisions.

He has served on the National Petroleum Council and is a trustee of the Energy Policy Research Foundation.
